NZIM National Board Election for 2012

The newly merged NZIM Northern, NZIM Central and NZIM Inc. is looking to appoint a number of new Board members and is calling for nominations from members for election to its Board at the AGM in April 2012. Board members are elected for 3 year terms with a maximum of two terms. Nominations close at 5pm on 31 December 2011. The following vacancies will occur (some of which may be contested by sitting Board members):

  • One vacancy for the Board from anywhere in the country and
  • Three vacancies from each of our regions - Northern, Central & Southern.

The new NZIM Inc. Board structure, resulting from the integration of NZIM, consists of 4 Directors elected from the general NZIM membership and three elected from the three geographic regions making up NZIM by members in those regions.

There is no difference in status for these Directors. It is just that we wanted to make sure there was a good geographic spread within the NZIM Inc. Board.
