The NZIM Certificate in Small Business Management is an NZQA approved 80 credit Level 4 qualification.
It is designed for people in small business or starting a small business. There are eight modules, four of which take participants through the processes of scoping and evaluating small business propositions, developing developing initial proposals, managining the start-up and the first year of operation, and planning for future development. The other four modules provide a range of options for developing business skills, and are taken from the Certificate in Management papers.
The qualification is offered through secondary and tertiary providers. All the papers can be credited into NCEA Level 2 or Level 3, and can be used as credit towards University Entrance. The qualification also provides credit into the NZIM Diploma in Management and the NZ Diploma in Business.
