Application Information - Management Focus
Please Note. The future of this Fund is under review by the Ministry of Economic Development.
Who Can Apply?Applicants may be individuals or organisations, and so long as the application fits the criteria, it will be seriously considered. The Partnership is looking for projects and research which will assist managers to develop their skills and add to the resources available to all those wishing to enhance their skills. As stated elsewhere, the overall aim is to improve the capability and performance of New Zealand enterprises. Application FormThe application form (a 5 page Word document) should be read in conjunction with the Funding Information which sets out the background to the fund, its purpose, and criteria used to assess applications. The Fund is administered by the New Zealand Institute of Management (Inc) - National Office. Applications for this funding round must be received by NZIM National Office by 5pm,
Monday 22 September 2008.
Processing of ApplicationsA Panel drawn from the members of the Partnership will consider all applications before submitting the recommended ones to the Minister of Economic Development for final approval. For the current funding round, it is hoped that the process will be completed by about the end of September with all applicants advised soon after that.In some cases, it may be necessary to seek further information and/or advice about a particular application. That could delay the final decision, but only for that particular application. The Panel reserves the right to accept or decline any application, and seek advice and/or information from any party about any application. Each applicant thus authorises the Panel and its advisers to collect any information from the applicant and/or from any other party and to use that information to assess the application. Any information collected will be used only for the purpose of assessing the application and will not be passed on to any other party. Such information may be accessed by the applicant at any time. Decisions will be made against the criteria (outlined above) with a reasonable interpretation as to relevance applied in every case. Further InformationResults of any research or projects funded by the Management Focus Fund will become the property of the Fund and may be used for any purpose as decided by the Business Capability Partnership. The results may also be published on the Management Focus website (or anywhere else including this website) for the information and use of any interested party.Funding will not be paid over until a suitable agreement is completed between the Applicant and the NZIM, National Office.
