Quality Assurance
The New Zealand Institute of Management Inc is a registered private training establishment.
The NZIM Certificate in Management is subject to rigorous quality assurance processes. The courses and supporting materials produced by NZIM have all been professionally written and produced. The qualifications are developed through wide consultation with education and industry groups and are subject to continuous updating, as well as three yearly reviews. Assessments are externally moderated by the NZIM national moderator.
All qualifications provided by secondary and tertiary institutions under agreement with us are either approved or in the process of being approved. They are all eligible for EFTS funding. NZIM supports them where possible with teacher guides, student workbooks, newsletters and visits. Textbooks have also been produced for many of our courses. Our friendly staff are available to answer all queries.
For some qualifications NZIM undertakes training of course facilitators, mentors and assessors.
Student results are kept on NZIM’s comprehensive database, and students receive a Statement of Achievement every time results are recorded, as well as certificates and diplomas whenever qualifications have been completed.
All NZIM qualifications are copyright, and no provider may offer them in whole or part except under agreement with NZIM. The agreement requires providers to show that they have the expertise, resources and internal quality processes to provide the programme, and will normally also entail their being registered as a training establishment or educational organisation. Their agreement with NZIM forms the basis of their accreditation by NZQA to provide our programmes.
NZIM does not have responsibility or control over course materials produced for our programmes by accredited providers, except where they misrepresent our qualifications or courses. If you have concerns, issues or queries about any aspect of the qualifications or their delivery we would like to hear from you, and where appropriate we will raise the matters with the provider concerned.
