The NZIM Management Model integrates local and international management best practice. The model gradually evolves as new research becomes available.

The NZIM Management Model defines four key attributes of Management:

The NZIM Management Model:

  • Links managers development needs with NZIM Learning Programmes
  • Acts as a foundation for the NZIM Professional Grading Structure

The model was sourced from the research of a wide range of international leaders in management thinking including, Jim Collins, independent researcher and author “Good to Great”, John Kotter, Konosuke Matsushita Professor of Leadership at Harvard Business School & David Ulrich, Professor of Business Administration at the University of Michigan.
