The Foundation’s Vision

To facilitate the development of tomorrow’s leaders.

Clear Objectives

  • To promote and support education and research relating to management and leadership.
  • To improve management education.
  • To provide financial assistance, including the provision of scholarships and awards, to individuals to assist them to undertake courses of study and research relating to general management and leadership.
  • To establish a capital base through a foundation.

Concept

  • To assist individuals to gain experience beyond their current working environment.
  • To fund special personal development programmes for which funding may not otherwise be available.
  • To produce a benefit to the wider management community.
  • To stimulate innovation in management for future focus benefits.
  • Create opportunities for participants to engage with business leaders.
  • Provide opportunities for public / private sector linkages.

How You Can Be Involved

  • The Foundation intends to increase its capital base to at least $1 m and use only investment income for funding scholarships or other activities.
  • Individuals and corporates, are being asked for their financial support.
  • Individuals or corporates who donate $500 or more will be recognised as ‘Friends of the Foundation’.
  • While one-off donations are very welcome, the trustees would also welcome on-going contributions.
  • If you would like to make a donation directly into our bank account the details are (The NZIM Foundation 03 0502 0478 522 00) 
  • When you make a donation if you could send an email to Susan on susan_mckibbin@nzimcentral.co.nz to advise her, she can then send you a receipt.

Estate Giving

If you would like to support the NZIM Foundation's work in finding new ways for New Zealand managers to develop their leadership potential and capabilities, 

you should contact your lawyer and ask that the following cause be inserted into your will.

"I give and bequeath to the NZIM Foundation the sum of $               (or a share of the residue of the estate) and I declare that the receipt of the Secretary for

the time being of the Foundation shall be good discharge to my Trustee for the same"

Donations

If you would like to make a donation to the NZIM Foundation please telephone us on 04 495 8300 and ask to speak to Susan McKibbin,
Membership Manager.

Receipts will be provided and because the foundation is a registered charity all donations qualify for a tax rebate.
