NZIM/Eagle Technology presents the....
See what the 2011’s regional winners Matthew Carter, southern and Hamish McBeath, Northern, had to say about the young executive of the year award:
The awards process is valuable for an individual, but also for the organisation you work for. Even the application is an acknowledgement and celebration of your achievements together, which is important. It has been great to learn of the achievements of other young executives and realise the talent NZ has working in such diverse situations, and performing at such high levels. It is a real privilege for me to be alongside them in the awards process and in the league of such quality people. - Matthew Carter, General Manager HR and Student Services, Otago Polytechnic
Being involved in the Young Executive of the Year Award in 2011 has been a valuable and worthwhile experience. I’ve met some fantastic people - from young leaders also participating in the Awards, to senior New Zealand leaders who have been involved in the assessment and interview process. It has been great to step back from my normal work and learn from others in different roles and industries. I have been encouraged by many people who have helped shape my experience and thinking. Overall the process has made me stop and think about the things I have achieved, as well as encouraged me to be aspirational about how much more I can achieve. – Hamish McBeath, General Manager, Pacific Coilcoaters
All Nominees are entered into the regional awards – Northern, Central and Southern. The winners from each region are announced at NZIM functions in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The three regional winners then become finalists for the NZIM/Eagle Technology of the Year Award 2012.
