This course focuses on exploring non-linear problem-solving techniques, challenging existing assumptions, testing theories and creating innovative solutions. It is designed to help leaders and teams adopt a design thinking mindset to drive creativity and innovation within their organisations. Design Thinking promotes out-of-the-box thinking by challenging assumptions and exploring multiple solutions. Together we will develop a clear understanding of the Design Thinking process and how to apply it, review practical tools and techniques to solve complex problems creatively. Explore how the ability to empathise with peers and design solutions that truly meet their needs requires a mindset shift across the whole organisation.

  • Define Design Thinking: Understand the core principles and framework of design thinking.
  • Establish Usage: Identify how and when design thinking can be applied effectively within the organisation.
  • Review Tools: Explore and review various tools and techniques used in the design thinking process.
  • Mindset Shift: Transition from a fixed mindset of "this is how we do things around here" to a more open and innovative mindset of "how could we do things around here"?
  • Problem-Solving Approach: Learn to pose critical questions and explore multiple possibilities before arriving at a solution, fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability.
